APC Wins Supplementary Election for Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency in Kogi State

The supplementary election for Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency in Kogi State was won by the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the weekend. The APC candidate, Paul Haruna, secured 25,610 votes, defeating his closest opponent, Okai Austin of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 11,621 votes.

The Returning Officer for the election, Silas Rimdan, declared the results and announced that “Hon. Chief Paul Haruna, having satisfied the requirements of the law and having received the highest votes cast, is declared the winner and returned elected.”
