Be Patient with Tinubu to Fix Economy – Kogi State Lawmaker, Abejide Tells Nigerians

Leke Abejide, the representative of Yagba Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has urged Nigerians to exercise patience and give President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies time to manifest. Speaking at a reception held in his honor as Asiwaju of Yoruba in Kano, Abejide expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability to improve the country’s economy.

Abejide likened the current situation to a woman in labor, emphasizing that though there might be pain now, the eventual delivery would bring positive results. He called for at least two years to see the impact of Tinubu’s policies and assured the public that the economy would undergo transformation.

Highlighting Tinubu’s expertise in the financial sector and extensive experience, Abejide expressed optimism about the outcomes of the administration’s initiatives. He urged the populace to remain patient, emphasizing that the results would benefit everyone.

As the Chairman of the House Committee on Customs and Excise, Abejide also stressed the importance of monitoring potential security challenges arising from border closures in neighboring countries due to military coups.

Additionally, he pledged to construct a befitting palace for the Oba of Yoruba in Kano before the end of his tenure, demonstrating his commitment to the community.

The Oba Yoruba, Alhaji Alimi Otisese, expressed gratitude for Abejide’s contributions to the Yoruba residents in Kano, especially his efforts in empowering widows and orphans. Governor Abba Yusuf, represented by the Special Adviser on Yoruba Affairs, Alhaji Abdussalam Abdullatif, assured that the government would continue to run an inclusive administration for the benefit of all citizens.
