In a statement signed by the Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Unit, Toyin Aderibigbe, NACA emphasized the importance of protecting oneself and making responsible choices during expressions of affection on Valentine’s Day.

Director General of NACA, Dr. Gambo Aliyu, underscored the need for individuals to approach love with a comprehensive mindset, advocating for open communication, mutual respect, and responsible decision-making.

Dr. Aliyu urged the public to integrate protection into intimate moments, emphasizing the importance of regular HIV testing and engaging in conversations about sexual health with partners.

Recognizing the power of love, NACA emphasized the significance of embracing responsible practices to ensure that love enriches lives without compromising health.

In light of the ongoing global health situation, NACA stressed the importance of prioritizing safety and well-being while expressing affection on Valentine’s Day.

The agency reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a healthy and responsible celebration of love, announcing plans to conduct comprehensive awareness campaigns to educate the public about the importance of both abstinence and safe sex practices.

NACA aims to foster a supportive and health-conscious community where love is celebrated responsibly, empowering individuals to make informed choices regarding their sexual health.
