Born on February 7th, 1929, Dr. Ado Ibrahim was the son of Ibrahim Onoruoiza, the second Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, whose reign extended from 1917 to 1954. Despite his regal lineage, Dr. Ibrahim’s journey to kingship was paved with academic and professional achievements. His educational odyssey began with Nursery and Quranic schooling, followed by stints at institutions such as Okene Native Administration School, Ondo Boys High School, and Oduduwa College, where he completed his secondary education.

In 1950, Dr. Ibrahim commenced his professional career with the United African Company (UAC), swiftly ascending the ranks to managerial positions. Balancing work and study, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics in 1954, followed by a prestigious MBA from Harvard University in 1959.

Beyond his corporate endeavors, Dr. Ibrahim’s commitment to his community was unwavering. He ascended to the throne as the Ebira king in 1997, a role he embraced with vigor and dedication until his passing. Under his reign, the renowned Azad Palace emerged as a testament to architectural grandeur, drawing admiration as the preeminent royal residence in West Africa.
