FCT Police Arrest Kogi Notorious Armed Robber for Stabbing Victim Over an iPhone

The FCT Police Command has successfully apprehended a 33-year-old suspect, Attah Godwin, hailing from Kogi state, in connection with a robbery and stabbing incident involving one Ogo Chukwuemeka, aged 27, residing in Kuchigoro, Abuja.

The arrest occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2024, around 6:05 pm, during a routine patrol conducted by police operatives.

According to a statement released by the FCT Command, the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, Chukwuemeka, as he attempted to board a vehicle to Kuchigoro near Berger Mosque, Utako. In the course of the altercation, the assailant reportedly inflicted stab wounds on the victim’s chest and shoulder using a knife, before making off with his mobile phones and other personal belongings.

Prompt action by the patrolling police team, aided by local residents, led to the swift apprehension of the suspect. Recovered from the perpetrator were the stolen items, while the injured victim was promptly conveyed to a medical facility for treatment.
